The Ultimate Guide To Item Upgrading

World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Upgrades to items allow players to increase an item's gear score up to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you take them to the kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded to increase their stats (like a perfectly made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) while others like weapons do not change significantly after an upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit chance and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also come with a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. Additionally there are many weapons with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are present on a single unit. This bonus could exceed the damage that an upgrade alone can cause.

The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity and level. For example an item with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while an upgrade of +3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.

Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. While this is generally a good thing, it can have some negative consequences too. For items that only see use in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance) upgrading them can render them useless unless you get a lucky roll.

It is possible to upgrade armor items to improve their stats. For example, if you upgrade chests or helms, this will increase its base defense while gloves and belts will enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it is able to reroll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats it will gain when upgraded, along with their relative values. This means that the weapon will gain 33% attack damage when it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% does not mean that it will be hit for 3 times less often as it is an absolute number.

A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button with circling arrows in the menu for items. The item will be rerolled and alter its stats however, it will not reset the weapon's level nor connect to the status of your account.

Armor

Adding a few upgrades to your armor could make a a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets offer massive boosts to poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which can make traversing tough areas a breeze. The more defense your character has, the more value you can get from each point of health, so it's important to upgrade your armor as much as you can.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game and to unlock each one you must complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the main quest and the corresponding fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. It is possible to use anything between three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade the next one. The Champion Leathers, as an example, can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which will allow you to keep up in frigid environments with a large group of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded to +20 defense, which means you can survive a raid with friends.

It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll have to focus on upgrading it to gain physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of a Mage. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still wear at the end of the story, for example the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

You can also unlock some perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is useful to have a few upgrades of the chest armor and helmets to let you stealthy battle certain monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that when consumed by a player, provide the player with a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five types of potions, each with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, increasing their level of effect. Additionally, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.

Potion upgrades require a certain amount of XP. This can be earned through crafting them on a craft table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades changes depending on what kind of potion you wish to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level and rarity.

To upgrade a potion you need to right-click it in your inventory. Then, select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI that lets you select the potion you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they will offer when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.

Once a poton is upgraded, it will not degrade until you take it out again or break the bottle in which it is kept. You can also rename the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.

Version 1.7.2 introduced a few modifications to the way potions are used. For instance, splash potions now have an average duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display for the item). The table of potion can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players in Survival and Bedrock. In contrast to the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be combined in cauldrons. The same applies to using a potion in the cauldron that is filled. This will drain the liquid, and then refill the bottle.

Lastly, there are now lingering potions, which are brewed with dragon breath and splash potions. Similarly, a lingering potions effect can be extended by adding redstone. The potion table has been rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added such as the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket can be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece jewelry.  item upgrade  can also refer to an ornament or object that has a purpose but is not important such as a thimble. In certain traditions, trinkets are used to signify affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

Trinkets can be upgraded by players in addition to weapons or armor, as well as potions. These can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Trinkets unlike other items that can be upgraded, can be swapped at will without losing stats.

Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of every zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are offered with gold, tokens or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to buying a new trinket. A player can upgrade a trinket for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base level as the previous trinket but it also comes with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

Trinkets can be upgraded when they are not needed, allowing a player to boost their power and value over time. They can be traded between players, making them an alternative to gold.

In general, players should upgrade their top-priority items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, followed by their secondaries and then other gear items that they won't replace soon (for instance an earring or cloak). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when choosing the items to upgrade. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers, they should prioritize upgrading their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and chest.

Once they have become useless, trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket has an additional bonus of 1. Re-upgrading will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it is saved using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still cheaper than purchasing a new one.
